Description

Essentially this is a two-pronged initiative, focused firstly on the more effective development of Individual Student Plans (for students with exceptional learning needs requiring adjustment/differentiation of learning), and secondly on the more effective adjustment of subject-specific tasks using the ISP parameters as the criteria for adjustment.

  1.  ISP development: inputting parameters for individualised learning plan (ISP), child specific, then asking AI to generate suggestions for ISP.
  2. Teacher use of the ISP parameters to modify/adjust tasks: this is an efficiency initiative, as well as potentially a more effective way to develop subject-specific (and task-specific) adjustments according to SLD.

Again, the AI tool is ChatGPT4:

  • Using ChatGPT4 through something like Cogniti: Note closed GPT4 means there are not issues with confidential student information being uploaded to AI.
  • Inputting student parameters, giving year level (Senior, Junior, Middle etc.), subjects studied, diagnosis, behavioural considerations > then asking for suggestions for reasonable ISP adjustments, in a set format.
  • Teacher use (after ISP is developed) involves setting up an Agent with comprehensive parameters around what teachers like/don’t like, questions they are likely to ask, what the teacher would know about what is likely to work and not work in the classroom.

Timeline for this is probably trialling individual ISPs (simple) in 2024, expansion 2025+

  • 2024 Creating ā€˜agent’ for ISPs (uploading typical neurodivergence data, what interventions work)
  • 2024 Creating standard format for inputting individual student parameters. This includes uploading student specific information (Psych reports etc.) > check confidentiality with this?
  • 2025+ developing ways to export this data into standardised ISP format, and ways to use these ā€˜formatted’ adjustments at individual student level to modify/adjust tasks to match the adjustment criteria.
